Homeber Terms of Use

Effective October 29, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Reiser Enterprises LLC, a Georgia limited liability company that runs Homeber ("Homeber," "we," "us"), about your use of the Homeber app and our website, homeber.app. By creating an account or using Homeber, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Homeber.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.

1. What Homeber is, and what it is not

Homeber is a tool for keeping a shared record of a home improvement job between a contractor and a client: the plan, the payment schedule, payments made, changes, documents, photos, updates and messages.

Homeber is not:

  • A party to your agreement. The contract for the work is between the contractor and the client. Homeber does not sign it, enforce it, or guarantee that either side performs it.
  • A contractor or an employer. We do not perform, supervise or inspect work, and contractors on Homeber do not work for us.
  • A payment service. Homeber does not receive, hold or send money. Payments go directly between contractor and client by whatever method they choose. Homeber records what was agreed, requested, approved and reported as paid. A payment marked as sent or received in Homeber is what a user reported, not a confirmation from a bank.
  • A source of legal, financial or construction advice.

Anything Homeber reads from a file for you, such as the total on an invoice, is a suggestion for you to check before you save it.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information and keep it current. Use your own name, and your company's real name.
  • Keep your password private and your email account secure, since your email is how you reset your password. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One person per account. Company owners decide who joins their company and what those people can do, and are responsible for them on Homeber.

3. Contractors

If you use Homeber as a contractor, you are responsible for:

  • Holding the licenses, registrations and insurance your work requires, and keeping any that you show on Homeber accurate and current.
  • Only adding clients you are working with, only inviting people (to a job, your company or a calendar event) you have a reason to contact, and only entering contact details you have a right to use.
  • The accuracy of the prices, invoices, payment requests, change orders and updates you post.
  • Complying with the laws that apply to your business, including contractor licensing, consumer protection, lien and deposit rules.

A verification badge on Homeber, once offered, means a check was completed at a point in time with the information available to us. It is not a guarantee of quality, solvency or future compliance.

4. Clients

If you use Homeber as a client, review requests before you approve them. An approval in Homeber is a record that you agreed to that item, such as a payment request, a change order or a contract total.

5. How some features work

  • Changing the contract total. When a contractor proposes a new contract total, the client can approve or decline it. If the client does not answer within 3 days, Homeber applies the new total to the job record automatically, and both sides are told. This keeps the record moving; it does not by itself change your legal agreement, which depends on your contract with each other. The same applies when a client joins a job and is asked to agree to the total already on it.
  • Payments. The contractor sets how the total is split into payments and can change a payment until it has been requested. The total itself changes only through an approved change order or a new total the client answers.
  • Calendar. Guests get invitations, changes and reminders by push or email. Whoever makes an event is responsible for the guests they add.
  • Completed and cancelled jobs become read only for most purposes, so the record stays as it was. Messages stay open.
  • Project record. Anyone on a finished job can download a PDF of its record. It shows what was entered in Homeber. It is not a contract, an invoice or proof of payment.
  • Ratings. At the end of a job each side may rate the other. Ratings are held until both sides have rated or the rating window closes, then published together. Each person can see their own average. Ratings are not currently shown to anyone else; if that changes, profiles will show only averages and a count.

6. Your content

You own what you add to Homeber: photos, documents, messages, updates, ratings and profile information ("your content").

You give Homeber a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, display and transmit your content, only as needed to run Homeber, show it to the people you share it with, and improve and protect the service. Content on your public company profile can be seen by anyone signed in to Homeber.

Content you add to a job also becomes part of the other side's record of that job. If you delete your account, that content stays on the job, without your name, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for your content and must have the right to share it.

If you send us ideas or feedback, through the app, by email or on our website, we may use them to improve Homeber without owing you anything for them.

7. Rules

Do not use Homeber to:

  • Post anything false or misleading, including fake jobs, invoices, payments or ratings.
  • Impersonate someone, or misstate your license, insurance or identity.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, or post hateful, sexually explicit or violent content.
  • Post content that violates someone else's privacy or rights, such as another person's ID or financial details.
  • Send spam, or contact people for reasons unrelated to your work together.
  • Break the law, including laws on licensing and consumer protection.
  • Interfere with the app, get around its access controls, scrape it, or access data that is not yours.

Ratings must reflect a real job and your honest experience. We may remove ratings that break these rules.

Homeber has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We remove content that breaks these rules and may suspend or close the accounts of people who post it.

8. Reporting and blocking

If you see content or behavior that breaks these rules, report it in the app: use the "..." button on a profile or file, or press and hold a message or update. You can also email support@homeber.app. We review reports within 2 business days and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. The person you report is not told who reported them.

You can block a person or a company from the same places. Blocking stops their notifications to you, hides their messages behind a tap, removes a blocked company from your search, and stops that company from adding you to new jobs. It does not change or remove jobs you already share, because those are also the other side's record. You can unblock anyone in Settings, then Advanced.

Homeber also checks text before it is saved and refuses slurs and severe abuse.

9. Fees

Homeber is currently free to use. If we introduce fees, including for paid plans or payments made through the app, we will tell you before they apply, and you can choose not to use the paid features.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, then Advanced. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or that we are required to close by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. Sections 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14 continue after your account ends.

11. Disclaimers

Homeber is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Homeber will be uninterrupted or error free, that notifications will always arrive, or that content posted by users is accurate. Keep your own copies of important documents, such as your signed contract.

We are not responsible for the work, conduct, payments or disputes between contractors and clients.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Homeber will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of Homeber. Our total liability for any claim relating to Homeber is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against Homeber because of your content, your work, your payments, or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to cover Homeber's reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

14. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us at support@homeber.app and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Any claim that is not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you and Homeber agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either side may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead.

15. Apple

If you got Homeber from Apple's App Store:

  • These terms are between you and Homeber, not Apple. Homeber, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your license to use the app is limited to Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or anyone else relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • If someone claims the app infringes their intellectual property, Homeber, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Homeber after that, the new terms apply.

17. Other

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part right away, we have not given up the right to. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of Homeber. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Homeber about the app.
